I don’t think I have ever intended to write full on articles with regards to this type of subject, as some others do, but would prefer to simply post my observation and, if some type of conversation ensues, discuss it. That being said – my revised post below.
Every Christian woman has a hint of feminism in them. They really can’t help it, it’s how they were raised, in a society that pushes feminism as a norm. This, unfortunately, causes them to filter everything, especially scripture, though a feminist filter. “Do these verses make me feel bad as a woman? Do they empower me? Are they misogynistic?”. These questions must first be answered before scripture can be considered. It is difficult to find a Christian woman who has been able to work past this non-scriptural training.
